December Reminders

I hope your holidays have been a steady mix of drumming and shopping, or drumming and studying for our high schoolers!

Thanks to the battery for all being dressed appropriately at the last camp. Please remember wristbands and notebooks. All members, please bring a copy of your birth certificates for our records. There are also a few people that have yet to return their insurance papers. If you aren’t sure if this is you, please let me know.

The first payment of $200 is due by January 11th. For those who still owe all or some of the audition fee, you may add this to the first payment.

Please note a change in the times for the next rehearsals. We wanted to break from the Saturday 10-10. At least for now… can’t promise it won’t be back!

Last December camp schedule:

Friday, December 28th: 12:00 pm to 8:30pm (dinner break 5 to 6)
Saturday, December 29th: 12:00 pm to 8:30pm
Sunday, December 30th: 1:00pm to 5:00pm

Early January camp schedule:

Thursday, January 3rd: 12:00 pm to 8:30pm
Friday, January 4th: 12:00 pm to 8:30pm
Saturday, January 5th: 12:00 pm to 8:30pm

Audition Recap

December 18th, 2007

Thanks to all who attended the Clinic/Audition weekend.  It was great to see so many TC alumni and UCF percussionists among the attendees.   The talent was what we hoped for and more, and we’d like to congratulate the 7 snares, 4 tenors, 5 basses, and front line members who were given spots!

This past weekend’s reahearsal camp was completed with the full ensemble playing a small taste of what music is to come.  A show announcement will be made in the near future.  Also, pictures and videos of the audition weekend will likely be uploaded soon, so stay posted.

TCI Weekend Information

December 2nd, 2007

December 8th is coming quickly! Hopefully by now you’ve accessed the exercises and audition pieces on the Members page. We’re geared up for the clinic/audition weekend, and are looking forward to seeing you there.

Registration/Payment:
Registration begins Saturday at 9am, with a meeting to start the weekend at 10. A more detailed schedule of the weekend will be available at registration, though if you have specific questions, follow the email link below.

If you are able, please take advantage of paying in advance with the PayPal option. On the right hand side of the Audition page, there is a purple button labeled “Pay Audition Fee.” Click there and follow the steps using your PayPal account. If you do use PayPal, please bring a printed receipt with you to registration.

Cash and checks are also accepted at registration. Checks made payable to TCHS Bands.

Location:
A map to Timber Creek High School is available at the bottom of the Audition page.

What to Bring:
Please bring your own sticks, pad, and clinic/audition music although extra copies will be made available. If you would like to bring your own drum you may, though it will not be necessary. Also, please bring money for food on Saturday. We’ll find you a ride out to lunch/dinner if you don’t have one.
