This Saturday marks the debut of Timber Creek Independent at the FFCC Percussion Focus Show hosted here at Timber Creek High School. TCI will perform at 7:07pm. The show begins at 4:00pm and admission is $8.

“The Way Up”.
Not just the exciting progression from scholastic to independent for the ensemble this season, but the theme and show title for the 2008 Timber Creek Independent Percussion Ensemble.
Based on the Grammy award winning music of the Pat Metheny Group, the program not only sticks to the integrity and expression of the original musically, but also the philosophical intent behind it. Snare instructor Mike McIntee offers “Metheny wrote ‘The Way Up’ in reaction to, and to counter act an unfortunate trend in society and culture that is the decline over time from symphonies, to tunes, to commercials and sadly to cell phone ring tones. We wanted to apply that to our program and offer an experience with real meaning that challenges both the performers and audience.”
Be on the lookout for Timber Creek’s multi-tasking marimbas, musical feet via multiple foot pedals, narration by a very familiar voice, and a visual soloist that is rumored not to even exist at WGI Orlando, WGI Nashville and WGI Championships in Dayton!
Timber Creek Independent is under the direction of Clif Walker. The staff includes Matt Verburg, Jeff Wright, Mike McIntee, Brain Baldauff, John Seay and 2003’s DCI Director of the Year, Pat Seidling.
Our big February camp is this weekend. Here is the schedule:
Friday 15th: 3:30 to 10:00pm Battery Only
Saturday 16th: 10:00am to 10:00pm Battery / 6pm to 10pm Frontline
Sunday 17th: 1:00pm to 10:00pm Battery / 6pm to 10pm Frontline
Monday 18th: 9:00am to 5:00pm Everyone
Important: On the Members page, there is new music for everyone up to Letter X, and a new midi file from the top to Letter T.

The second dues installment of $200 is needed soon. For your future planning, we have scheduled the payments due at the 11th of each month this spring.
