TCI 2010: Censored
From the design team that brought you The Way Up and Videotape comes TCI’s 2010 program Censored.
Inspired by the words of figures including President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Philosopher Joseph Tussman, and Musician Frank Zappa, TCI will present the debate and allow the audience to draw a personal conclusion as to the necessity or hindrance of censorship.
Continuing the trend of exploring relevant societal themes, Censored will feature music from the French composer and pianist Erik Satie, as well as hip-hop legends Beastie Boys. The censorship theme will integrate into musical and visual phrases, at times not letting you see what you want to see or hear what you want to hear.
As the ensemble prepares for its second full season in the World Class, they look forward to again making the trip to Dayton, Ohio in April 2010 for WGI World Championships.
In addition to the visual and musical production, the show will again be accompanied by online content to enhance the viewer’s experience. Follow along with articles and other media at www.tobecensored.com.
